CFS established
the Emergency Placement program in recognition that at-risk children can
be removed from their homes at any time. Emergency Placement offers
agencies foster care placement services for infants and youth through
age 18, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
|
|
Upon entry into the Emergency Placement program, the child or
adolescent will be placed in a home with experienced foster parents
who are trained to assist children in crisis. Within 24 hours an
Emergency Placement worker will meet with the child to evaluate their
needs and begin to establish services to assist in the stabilization
of the child.

We work with
referring agencies to find the best resolution for the child and family.
Our workers will attend court hearings, arrange biological family
visitation and provide crisis therapy. If the child remains in foster
care with us, we will support the child in making a smooth transition
from emergency placement to a foster home.

Our Emergency
Services program is designed for infants through 18-year olds who do
not pose a risk to themselves or others.
