What is Third Level?

Third Level is a program of Child & Family Services, a nonprofit organization serving over 20 counties throughout northern Michigan.

We offer guidance and support to anyone struggling with life's many challenges - from help paying a utility bill to conquering thoughts of suicide. Our counselors are kind, caring, and want to help you grow and thrive. Call anytime for help with anything.

24/7 Crisis Services

While a crisis can be a difficult time, it can also be one of change and growth. Third Level believes that growing, changing, and thriving happens in moments of crisis, and we strive to support individuals during these times.

Our 24 hour crisis line is staffed with trained counselors that help individuals in our community understand, cope with, and recover from crisis, no matter what that crisis may look like. Counselors are specially trained in suicide prevention.

Suicide Prevention

Our counselors are specially trained in suicide prevention and are available 24/7 to help you and your loved ones overcome a suicidal crisis. We'll talk with you, work to ease your pain, help you problem solve, discuss coping strategies, and identify referrals that can help you on your journey towards healing.

All calls to Third Level are answered live, are free, and remain confidential unless someone is in danger. We only access caller-id when necessary to ensure safety.

Being a teenager is tough. Problems at home and school can make it even harder. We're here to help.

Our Youth Services provide counseling and support to teens and their families. We'll help you access community resources, find housing, participate in activities, learn independent living skills, and more. We want to support you in reaching your goals.

We work with teens who have or are thinking about running away, are homeless, or are experiencing conflict that's making it hard to be at home. All services are free and confidential. We'll come to you.
