Longtime Friend to CFS Becomes New Executive Director

Dear Friends,

I am pleased to share with you that the Board of Directors has offered the position of CFS Executive Director (previously titled CEO) to Gina Aranki, and that she has accepted the position.

We hope that this comes as good news to you, as the board is very excited and confident in this decision. We are excited about the work that Gina and the whole CFS team has accomplished in the last several months with the help of Samaritas, and are confident that she is ready to take on this challenge, supported by all of you.

We know that it has been difficult at times in the past year as we have worked to determine our new direction. So, it is with delight that I share this news with you. We are glad to move beyond the interim nature of our plans we have had in place and to make a permanent, long-term decision. While we will miss our time working so closely with Samaritas, we still plan to maintain some kind of ongoing relationship with this wonderful community partner. After many discussions, we are confident that CFS should remain an independent organization, with Gina Aranki as our leader.

Gina’s long and accomplished tenure at CFS, along with a solid, committed Board and a wonderfully dedicated staff, should create confidence among us all that CFS is poised for great things now and in the years to come.

Thank you for all you do.  Please let Gina or me know if you have any questions or concerns.
