WHO WE ARE
Every day, thousands of children and families in Michigan face challenges beyond their control—trauma from abuse, neglect, poverty, substance use, and more. These experiences leave them vulnerable and in need of support.
โ
Since 1937, Child & Family Services of Northwestern Michigan has been a trusted source of care, providing programs and services that create safer, healthier communities. From child welfare programs and counseling to assistance for runaway and homeless youth, we equip families with the tools and resources they need to heal and thrive.
โ
As a 501(c)(3) organization, we take a trauma-informed approach, helping children, adolescents, adults, and families recover from life’s toughest challenges. Our programs—including Youth Services, YouthWork, and Safe Haven—are designed to help children and families grow, heal, and reach their full potential, no matter the setbacks they face.
โ
We also provide foster care, adoption, behavioral health services, foster home licensing, and crisis respite programs. Our services are CARF-accredited, reflecting our commitment to excellence in both clinical and administrative practices and ensuring the highest quality care for the families we serve.
