About the Event
This virtual talk will focus on the importance of play in early childhood. We will think about how children practice important developmental skills as well as communicate their inner experience through play. We will also discuss ways that adults can help foster and support children’s play in their interactions together.
This event is free for attendees, it us paid for by the Northwest Michigan Infant Mental Health Training Consortium.
Presenter Information: Dr. Jennifer DeSchryver is a licensed clinical psychologist and infant mental health mentor with over 25 years experience working with parents and young children. She has provided play therapy for young children in a variety of settings, including residential, outpatient, school-based, and in-home. She is passionate about supporting healthy, connected relationships between parents and children, and about supporting mental health professionals in their clinical work with families.
