Child and Family Services is a private nonprofit organization that provides human and social services programs to a 13 county region in northwestern Michigan. Programs include:

FOSTER CARE & SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTION

	Specialists in regular, intensive, and treatment foster care.
	Independent living skills education for teens nearing age of consent.
	Supervision of licensed foster homes for stays of 1-18 months while helping to reunite families.
	Training of adoptive families for children who need permanent "forever" families.
	Referrals to community resources.
	Compassionate, committed professional staff.

INFANT & OPEN ADOPTION

	Caring , professional pregnancy and birth counseling for birth mother and family members.
	Open adoption - a relationship between birth and adoptive family (helps minimize loss).

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

	Counseling for all ages, all walks of life.
	Individual, family and group counseling.
	Most insurance accepted - sliding fee scale.
	Anger management groups, art therapy, experiential therapy, and other innovative approaches to healing.
	Supervised, safe visitation.
	Child abuse prevention and education.

To promote the safety and well-being of children, adults, and families by providing services that offer opportunities and support for social and emotional healing and growth.
